The Thinker

Our ability as homo sapiens to accumulate and pass-on knowledge is one of the attributes which has led to our long-term success. Thinkers balance the pursuit of new knowledge with respect for ancient tradition, and are responsible for passing this on to the next generation, both in the form of  data and/or storytelling. Based on the role traditionally played by the Elder, they are the subject matter experts and guardians of knowledge (both on and offline). Their wisdom, gained through experience, study, and reflection, makes the Thinker a useful counsellor to the chief and a helpful mentor to the child.
