The Explorer

Although indexing high on the need for freedom, the Explorer does not need to fight authority. They need freedom in order to discover, explore and conquer new lands—both spiritual and physical. They chafe at convention, not because they are hostile to the status quo, but because it traps them in the everyday. They are on a quest—one that challenges them and pushes their limits, and no map is required. Restless spirits and hopeless romantics, they want to grow as a person, and their means is adventure. They want to experience and enjoy all the world has to offer. And they also have an ambitious side—to be the one who plants the flag, seeking fame and fortune as well as the thrill of adventure.
