The Caregiver

The Caregiver’s job is to nurture life. This means helping what is vulnerable grow healthy and strong, by creating the optimal conditions for its flourishing. For the Caregiver, this begins with their children and with their home, which acts as an antidote to the outside world—a place of sanctuary, renewal and growth. But the instinct to care extends to others as well, including the elderly, plants, animals and the planet itself. The Caregiver feeds, clothes, guides, and protects with patience, wisdom and kindness. But what underpins these qualities is the rarest of them all—altruism. The Caregiver’s natural instinct to focus on others is not for the credit, or from some hidden motive, but out of immense power of maternal love.
