The Artist

Art is a magic all its own. It has the power to bring beauty into our lives, while also depicting truths that convey deeper meaning and inspire new perspectives. But at its foundation is a powerful human need to express ourselves. Talented non-conformists, these are the arts & culture-makers – literature, dance, music, painting, sculpting, as well as the tools that enable them. They are the explorers of life’s great themes, sometimes fuelled by an eccentric genius that almost seems touched by God (the “Idiot Savant”). They may create for others but it’s enough that they create for themselves. Because there’s nothing like the sense of flow they feel when they’re lost inside their art.
