The Provocateur

Wherever there is a pot, the Provocateur stirs it. But their higher purpose is truth itself, which they seek to communicate through humour. With ruthless insight into the human condition and the ills of society, the Provocateur is a prankster whose humour is often aimed at authority (which applies to the dominant category player as well the political landscape). Grounded in the role the “fool” sometimes played in court, they use their wicked wit as a weapon to expose hypocrisy and challenge tyranny (oftentimes they were the only ones permitted to tell truth to power). Masking a substantial message under a good-natured wink and an ironic smile also makes them great allies to the revolution.
