The Warrior

The Warrior has given their oath. And their oath is everything. They have a duty to their superiors, and to their comrades in arms, and take great pride in fulfilling it, even (perhaps especially) if they must lay down their lives. They fight – not just physically but intellectually and spiritually – to defend king and country, or “truth, justice and the American way”, as the case may be. Their loyalty is absolute, and it is driven not by personal bond, but by honour. They are classically employed by the state, either in our legal system as prosecutors and police officers, or as soldiers (who are “brotherhoods” in their own right).  They “serve and protect” on one hand, but also “take that hill” when asked to do so (and are prepared to die to do it). But these days they also work in business, where there are clear rules to “win” and clear ways to separate the conquerors from the conquered.
