The Gladiator

The Gladiator is born to entertain, but their performance is a competition based on skill and determination. They want to win, but only within the rules. Because to win while cheating means nothing.  In fact, the greater the odds the better because it makes victory that much sweeter. But when it’s all said and done, the Gladiator is not at war with another person, but with themselves – their own weakness and fear. Which is why the only thing worse than losing is quitting. Very individualistic, they represent the ultimate form of human achievement and the quest for perfection through skill, dedication and “grit.”

The fight is won or lost far away from witnesses—behind the lines, in the gym, and out there on the road, long before I dance under those lights. Muhammad Ali
